Earlier this week, we received samples from the company Bakerly. Read as: we got to taste lots of yummy snacks, rolls, and homemade bread. As Registered Dietitians, we have lots of good things to say about the company and their products.

What is Bakerly all about?

Their focus is all about using simple, natural ingredients. They combine these ingredients with a lot of skill and love to make products that are truly enjoyable to eat.  We’re firm believers that mealtime and snack time should be an enjoyable time. A time where you get to sit down and eat tasty food, so we appreciate when other companies have the same philosophy.

We mean it when we say tasty food! The company’s owners, Julian and Fabian, grew up and learned to bake in Brittany, France. Their products show their expertise. The product line features brioche rolls, baguettes, chocolate crepe snacks, and more! This clearly reflects their French baking background :).

Honest Origins

We also love how the company commits to their idea of “honest origins” and simplicity. All of their products are completely free of preservatives, GMOS, artificial coloring, artificial flavoring, and they made an effort to use the freshest fruit in all of their fillings.  We’re all big fans of Bakerly products here, if you’re interested in where you can find their snacks and breads, or looking at all the recipes they have listed (!!!!), check out their page.

What did our dietitians think?

Our dietitian nutritionists LOVED the Bakerly products. We thought they were so, so yummy. My personal favorite was the chocolate crepes. They were an awesome snack to have mid-afternoon. Of course I added some peanut butter to them. I love that mixture of PB and chocolate.

Dana tried the chocolate chip bread. She said it “tasted fresh and sweet great afternoon treat!”

Rebecca actually took home the bricoche bread to make an overnight French Toast Casserole. She said the casserole turned out amazing and is a great way to feed a large crowd.
