  1. Heat cooking oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the onions and mushrooms to the pan and stir until soft.
  2. Pour the balsamic vinaigrette into a washed and dried wide mouth mason jar. Place the onions and mushrooms in the jar and mix with the dressing.
  3. Dice the hardboiled egg and place on top of onions and mushrooms. Layer spinach next, and then top with bacon.
  4. When ready to serve, give the jar a good shake and then pour the salad out onto a plate. Enjoy!
Recipe Notes
  1. Adjust the amount of each ingredient based on size of the mason jar. 
  2. When preparing this salad, it is important to layer the ingredients correctly. Always place moist or wet ingredients on the bottom. This ensures your salad doesn't get soggy. Your hearty vegetables or protein should go next, then layer away and top with the lettuce! 
  3. If you have anything you want to stay crunchy, put it on the top of the salad or place it in a separate baggie.
