Food Sensitivities
Do you have food sensitivities?
What are food sensitivities and food allergies?
Food sensitivities are not food allergies, and they also have different tests for detection. With food allergies, you will have an immediate physical response. For instance, if you are allergic to peanuts and eat peanuts, you will experience a serious, life-threatening reaction, in most cases affecting the lungs, skin, and gastrointestinal tract.
Food sensitivities are much more complicated as they can have delayed responses up to 72 hours after ingestion which makes them difficult to identify. This is why food sensitivity testing can be so beneficial! Most people with food sensitivities have multiple symptoms and reactions affecting many different bodily systems. Here are conditions commonly associated with food sensitivities.
Do you have symptoms of food sensitivities?
- Bloating
- Nausea
- Stomach Pain
- Vomiting
- Heartburn
- Diarrhea
- Headaches
- Migraines
- Cough
- Runny nose
- Muscle pain
- Fatigue
The following conditions are often associated with food sensitivities:
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
- Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)—Crohn’s and ulcerative Colitis
- Eczema (atopic dermatitis)
- Depression
- Eosinophilic Esophagitis
- Gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD)
- Metabolic syndrome
- Urticaria
- Migraine
- Fibromyalgia
- Muscle/joint Pain
- Fatigue
- Autism
- Attention Deficit Disorder
If you suffer from any of these conditions our Food Sensitivity Testing
program may finally give you the answers and a solution to your problems.
What you may notice is that almost all of them have an inflammatory basis to
them. Reducing inflammation is the goal of the testing.
Did you know that food sensitivities are related to your immune system?
Most of your immune system is located in your gut, 2/3 to be exact! So
tummy troubles are common when your immune system is overloaded. Ever
hear of the expression “sick to your stomach” or “something is hard to
stomach”. There is a strong connection between your brain and your gut and
you may find that you have even more adverse food reactions during periods
of stress like during COVID-19.
