Women’s Health
Are you experiencing mood swings and suspect hormone imbalances are to blame?
Are you ready to start or grow your family but are struggling to get pregnant?
Did your doctor diagnose you with PCOS but you aren’t sure where to start making changes to your diet?
Are you feeling frustrated by conflicting and unrealistic nutrition messages from healthcare providers, influencers, and media?
We know that going through the different stages of life can make nutrition challenging enough: going to college and living with a roommate in a dorm, starting a new job, living with your first partner, trying to get pregnant, having your first baby, having your next babies, having your children leave home, empty nesting, living alone. There are so many stages of a woman’s life that are directly related to caring for others, that it often makes caring for yourself even more challenging. Layer on health conditions like PCOS, infertility, amenorrhea, or hormone imbalances, and trying to figure out what to eat can quickly seem impossible.
Addressing Women’s Health
Hormonal Imbalance
Hormonal imbalances can affect women through the years: puberty, irregular or absent periods, heavy and uncomfortable periods, perimenopause and menopause, as well as conditions like Hashimoto’s disease. Finding balance can seem overwhelming, and you may not know where to start. We will guide you in how to use nutrition to support healthy hormone levels.
PCOS
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrine disorder among women, but the diagnosis might leave you thinking, well what now? Nutrition plays an important role in treating PCOS, and can help reduce unwanted symptoms and stabilize insulin and blood sugar levels. We can help you navigate the research, find what works best for your body, help you find pleasure in eating without anxiety or guilt, and just feel better.
Infertility
The heartache that comes from struggling to get pregnant can be overwhelming. The hope that comes each month, only to be reminded, nope not yet. There are so many factors that can cause infertility, but nutrition certainly plays a role in hormone balance. Nourishing your body with a balanced diet can improve your cycle and increase the chances of getting pregnant. We will help you learn what is right for your body.
Pregnancy and Postpartum
There can be so much guilt and shame associated with the decisions you make when pregnant and after birth. Everyone has an opinion about what to eat during pregnancy. This does not stop after you deliver your baby, everyone chimes in about how to best feed your baby. We can help you decipher the nutrition research so you can feel confident in how you are feeding yourself and your family. Food and nutrition plans do not have to be difficult to be effective and we can show you how.
