Elaine House MS, RDN, LDN

Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian Nutritionist
Kristin Jenkins Dietitian

Hi, my name is Elaine and I am a dietitian specializing in eating disorder recovery located in Maryland.

I see clients in Greenbelt and Columbia, Maryland and virtually across the USA.

I have experience across all levels of eating disorder care ranging from inpatient medical stabilization to intensive outpatient programs. I like to work with clients on creating sustainable eating habits that align with their values and support all dimensions of wellness. I want to make sure we are not only meeting your body’s physical needs, but accounting for quality of life.

I also work with athletes to educate you on relative energy deficiency in sport (RED-S) and how malnutrition can impact athletic performance at all ages and levels. Utilizing Safe Exercise at Every Stage (SEES) and incorporating values work into movement reintroduction, I want to help get you or your loved one back to doing what they love!

My Approach:

As a dietitian specializing in eating disorders, I take a compassionate, nonjudgmental, and collaborative approach to support clients in healing their relationship with food and body. I work to create a safe space where clients feel heard and understood, while guiding them through individualized nutrition plans that align with their unique needs and recovery goals.

My approach emphasizes nourishment, body respect, and flexibility—focusing on progress over perfection. I often collaborate with therapists and other members of the care team to ensure a well-rounded, supportive recovery process.

Happy Clients

“Working with my dietitian completely changed my relationship with food—and with myself. I used to feel trapped in guilt and fear around eating, but now I feel empowered and supported every step of the way. She never judged me, just met me where I was and helped me build trust in my body again. I finally feel like recovery is possible.”

“From the moment I started working with my Elaine, I felt seen and understood. She listened with compassion, helped me set realistic goals, and celebrated the small wins with me. Recovery hasn’t been easy, but having her in my corner made all the difference. I’m learning to nourish my body without fear, and that’s something I never thought I’d be able to say.”

“I was skeptical at first, but my dietitian brought such a practical and non-judgmental approach to our work together. She helped me untangle years of disordered eating habits and taught me how to eat in a way that actually feels sustainable. I appreciate that she focused on progress, not perfection, and always reminded me that healing takes time—and that’s okay.”
