Rebecca Bitzer and Associates Supporting Staff

Meet the team members that run our main office in Greenbelt, Maryland. Our administrative staff is kind and conscientious. They know our dietitians inside-out and do an amazing job of matching your nutritional needs with the dietitian who will be able to help you best!

Teresa Kennedy

Teresa has been working in the healthcare field for 13 years. She started off as a receptionist and quickly became our office manager. She has now worked her way up and become an office and billing manager with extensive knowledge in the billing aspect of healthcare. Her years of medical field experience have taught her compassion, understanding, and the skills needed to troubleshoot any and all problems. She is a mother to two playful sons. When she is not at work she loves to spend as much time with her family as possible.

Candy Lee

Candy is currently an office and billing manager at Rebecca Bitzer and Associates. She studied at the University of Maryland, University College, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services Management. She first studied to become a registered nurse but switched to health management after realizing she enjoyed more of the paperwork aspect of  healthcare. Outside of work, Candy enjoys going to the gym, hiking, and spending time with her family.

Rebecca Hemming

Rebecca is currently a senior at the University of Maryland, College Park, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics. She started out as a public health major but switched to dietetics after taking a nutrition class her first semester. In the future, she hopes to have her own private practice where she can teach clients how to eat well while still enjoying all of their favorite foods. Outside of school and work, you can often find her in the kitchen cooking and baking, or out on the trails with her dog.

Caroline Best

Caroline Best is a rising junior in Virginia Tech’s undergraduate Dietetics program. She is interning for Rebecca and Alex, helping with various social media projects and blogging. Caroline plans on applying to dietetic internships after she graduates VT, as her career goal is to be a dietitian. She is especially interested in sports nutrition, weight management, meal planning and diabetes. She loves the idea of the REBEL, the non-dieting approach to nutrition, and has really enjoyed learning how the dietitians at Rebecca Bitzer & Associates work with their clients to build a long-term healthy relationship with food. Caroline loves hiking, yoga  and running to stay active. She also enjoys baking and going to Hokie football games.

Hannah Butterfield

Hannah is a senior at the University of Maryland pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics and hopes to continue her education in a Physician’s Assistant program. Hannah’s nutritional interests include sports nutrition, digestive wellness, and cardiovascular health. In her spare time, she volunteers as a student intern with the UMD Sports Nutrition Department. She works directly with the nutritionists, helping athletes reach their nutritional goals and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Working at Rebecca Bitzer & Associates has been a great opportunity for her, and she looks forward to learning more from each dietitian.
