Our Editorial Process

There’s so much nutrition information out there. How do you know what’s right for you? You deserve clear, straightforward nutrition information.

Our blogs are written by registered dietitians nutritionists. Registered dietitians differ from other health professionals in that we hold Bachelors or Masters degrees from accredited institutions and complete a rigorous 1200-hour internship before passing a national credentialing exam. As a part of maintaining our licensure, we are required to complete ongoing continuing education which keeps us abreast of all the latest nutrition science.

Part of what makes our blog special is not just our professional qualifications but our hands-on experience with real people like you who struggle to find practical and trustworthy nutrition advice. Not only are we subject matter experts across a variety of different specialties, but we also have a unique understanding of the importance of finding realistic nutrition solutions to everyday problems.

Every piece of content we publish is carefully researched and edited by our team of dietitians to ensure it is not only scientifically accurate and backed by peer-reviewed research, but also relevant, relatable, and inclusive. Our combined decades of expertise in our field make it possible to deliver you, our readers, the best, most comprehensive content. Information comes from professional experience, peer-reviewed articles, and credible professional organizations. As a part of our meticulous editorial process, we also regularly review and update our content to ensure you’re always receiving the most recent nutrition information.

We are occasionally compensated to review, represent, or provide opinions on food products, books, websites, and various other topics. Compensation may be in the form of a product sample, payment, or a combination of both. While we may receive compensation for our posts, all views, experiences, and opinions expressed on our blog are purely our own. We do not engage in business with companies whose products or services do not match our personal and professional beliefs. Any sponsored social media postings will use the hashtag #sponsored, #client, #paid or #ad. Any affiliate links where we may earn a commission are clearly marked.

Finally, although we are dietitians and experts in our field, we are not your dietitian. Information presented on our website is intended as a personal and professional representation of our views on food and nutrition. This site is designed for educational purposes only. It is not intended to be a substitute for informed and personalized medical advice or care.
