Registered Dietitian in Maryland

Hi!  My name is Amanda Johnson, and I am a Registered Dietitian in Maryland. I see patients in Greenbelt and Columbia, Maryland, as well as virtually across Maryland, DC & Virginia.

I am passionate about helping clients feel their best through nutrition. I believe that food is more than just fuel—it’s an important part of our health, culture, and everyday lives. My goal is to help clients build a positive relationship with food while creating sustainable habits that support their health and well-being.

For so many years, I was trying to follow diets and create a lifestyle that was working against me rather than for me. That’s why I’m passionate about helping others develop realistic, balanced approaches to nutrition so they can maintain these changes in the long-term. Whether you’re looking to improve your nutrition, manage a health condition, or simply feel your best, I’m here to provide personalized, evidence-based guidance in a supportive, judgment-free environment.

How can help you

By building nutrition habits that finally work with your life instead of against it, can help you:

  • Feel confident and energized in your body—supporting your hormones, your health, and your everyday life through every stage, from your reproductive years through menopause and healthy aging.
  • Get ahead of chronic conditions like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and prediabetes—using food, labs, and small sustainable changes to protect your long-term health.
  • Make peace with food and let go of the all-or-nothing diet cycle, so eating feels balanced and enjoyable rather than stressful or shameful.
  • Understand what your labs and body are telling you, and turn that insight into personalized plan that fits your preferences, culture, and routine.
  • Explore new foods and rediscover the joy of eating, with realistic goals that you can actually keep for the long run.

All about Amanda's
nutrition approach

I take a holistic, whole-person approach to nutrition—one that considers your past and present medical history to build a wellness vision for your future self. Rather than handing you another rigid diet, I want to help you create realistic, balanced habits that work for you and last for the long term.

I start by getting to know you and meeting you exactly where you are. From there, we’ll work together on goals that feel both realistic and achievable. I love digging into labs, meal planning, and encouraging you to explore new foods along the way—all in a supportive, judgment-free space.

Whether you’re focused on women’s health, preventing chronic disease, aging well, managing a health condition, or simply feeling your best, I’m here to offer personalized, evidence-based guidance every step of the way. I can’t wait to get to know you and help you build a positive, lasting relationship with food!
