Gluten Free Thanksgiving Desserts to Impress Everyone at the Table
Whether you follow a gluten free diet, or you have a guest coming who needs a GF option, we’ve rounded up our favorite gluten free Thanksgiving desserts. Is it healthier to eat foods that are gluten free? Well that’s a loaded question. It depends.
Do you have celiac disease? Then yes! Do you have a sensitivity to gluten and you experience digestive symptoms upon eating it? Then most likely, yes, it can be beneficial to you as well. Do you have IBS and are following a low FODMAP diet? Then yes, for right now, gluten is avoided.
Did you hear from the boss girl on the internet or that trendy celeb that you shouldn’t eat gluten for whatever reason? Then no, there is no need to avoid gluten.
For whatever reason, baking and holiday desserts can be a challenge. Everything has gluten in it, it seems. Every recipe uses all purpose flour. So what is the alternative? Does using almond flour work instead? What about rice flour? Coconut flour? Binders and thickeners? It can be a science experiment to try and make these things with replacements.
